Time domain X-ray astrophysics
Dongyue's research interests are on highly variable X-ray sources, mainly the highly variable active galactic nuclei (AGN) and tidal disruption event (TDE). She has conducted a systematic search and study of highly variable X-ray sources in the XMMSL and found several TDE (candidates) and has carried out a detailed analysis for one of them during her PhD stage. She will stay in the High Energy Astrophysics Group as a postdoctor and keep working on TDE and other science objectives of the Einstein Probe (EP).
